| August 4, 2010 | Using Boardmaker To Create Visual Supports within the Classroom | CREC Coltsville Facility, 34 Sequassen Street, Hartford, CT, Computer Lab Are you using Boardmaker Plus! (or versions 6.0 and up) and feel like there is more you can do with the software? Already know how to create simple boards and symbols, but are interested in the additional features embedded within the software? Then this hands-on workshop is for you! Become a Boardmaker expert by attending this workshop. Make and Take! Participants will be using Boardmaker Plus! on site to create materials. Paper products will be provided for use with color printers. Wireless Internet access is available for participants who would like to bring their own laptops. As a result of this workshop, participants will be able to: * Add symbol support to text from multiple sources using the symbolate tool. * Use multimedia drag and drop to import digital photos into Boardmaker boards and activities as well as your Boardmaker libraries. * Learn how to create unique symbols and add to your Boardmaker library. * Learn how to export Boardmaker activities as a board package. * Learn additional features of the program that workshop participants request. Presenter: Nicole Natale, MS, CCC-SLP, ATP, Special Services Support Team Education Specialist, provides quality training and classroom support to ensure the success of students with disabilities. Participants are required to attend the one half-day session to receive the 0.5 CEU.
